About Rachel Jepperson

Rachel Jepperson has proudly called South Jordan home for over 30 years. From participating in community committees and serving on the PTA to coaching youth soccer and organizing her Bingham High School class reunions, Rachel has always believed in giving back and building meaningful connections.

With more than two decades of experience in corporate marketing and communications, Rachel knows how to listen, lead, and get things done. She earned her Public Relations degree from BYU and completed an MBA at the University of Utah. Rachel brings a thoughtful, team-oriented approach that’s always focused on what’s best for the community.

At home, Rachel is the proud mom of two adventurous boys—her enthusiastic playground safety testers. She and her husband, Brian, enjoy discovering new family adventures and winding down with their favorite HGTV shows.

Why I'm Running

I’m running for South Jordan City Council because I care deeply about the city that’s been my home for over 30 years. As a longtime resident, mom, and active volunteer, I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful growth, safe neighborhoods, and strong community connections make South Jordan such a special place.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, I know how to bring people together, listen closely, and turn good ideas into real results. I want to use those skills to support smart, sustainable growth—and to help drive economic development that benefits both residents and local businesses. By promoting South Jordan as a great place to live, work, and invest, we can strengthen our local economy and create lasting opportunities for the future.

I’m committed to supporting residents, investing in safety, and building a future our next generation will be proud to call home.

Protecting Voices, Strengthening Communities

This spring, I stood up to help repeal Utah HB267, a bill that makes it harder for teachers, firefighters, and police to advocate for fair conditions and support. Repealing it will keep our schools strong, our communities safe, and ensure those who serve us are heard.

Donate today for better leadership and better solutions.
